I wasn't able to reproduce that behavior with current ltspfs, can you please
try with Intrepid and confirm that the problem is still happening for you ?
LTSPFS should create a user-specific /media/<user> directory that only the user
can list restricting the other users from listing it and showing the links on
their desktop.
