Public bug reported:
I did my dist upgrade, but useradd enters an endless loop when trying to
do it's work, keep using more and more memory until i kill the program.
My user/group file had an empty line and an attempt at handling some
Windows loging crap so I had a 4xxxxxxxxxx userid (-1).

Sorry for not being more precise, but in my haste to fix the system I
seem to have left no trace of the old data.
