This is probably hardware dependent, since other people seem to be able to
install kubuntu 6.10 just fine.
I can not.
Both media validates with the GRUB menu media validation item on the CD
or DVD.
I boot on the CD or DVD and get the GRUB menu.
I select to "Install or start kubuntu"
Before the live desktop i shown (I never get to the actual desktop), I get a
blue X screen for a few seconds, then the screen blanks, and I get the blue X
screen again, and so it continues cycling until I reset the computer.
I have tried appending all the boot options I find meaningful, but no
luck.
RAM: 512MB
Video: 3dfx Voodoo3 AGP 16MB
CPU: AMD Duron 800MHz
It is an old computer, but all parts are standard and it installs SUSE
Linux 10.0 desktop from DVD with no problems.
