Public bug reported:

Hello,

I am running a fully update installation of Hardy. Xorg is currently
1:7.3+10ubuntu10.2.

This involves two systems:

My workstation reports:
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04

The Server with the X application I am running is:
Description: Ubuntu 7.04
Release: 7.04

I open a session on the Server and do an export DISPLAY=workstation:0.
I do an xhost + on the workstation the call the ap on the server. The
window pops up on my workstation and everything is great unless I resize
that window if I do X pops.

The end of the X log is:

Backtrace:
0: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x7e) [0x80c780e]
1: [0xb7efd420]

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting

The gdb backtrace is:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

It happens on both my and a colleague's computer. I have an 8000 series
nvidia board and he has a 6000 series. We are running the nvidia driver
from the restricted drivers panel and the compiz window manager.

Thanks,

Frank
