On today's update, 10/10/08, the same error continued which had much more serious consequences. As the result of not being able to complete the update, it seems that the manager wasn't able to update two packages: libxi6 and xinput. I go for a new update (or the completion of the previous one) but it gives me the information that the computer is already updated. Therefore, making me unable to make further updates. Apport also poped up a report, which I wasn't able to submit since it also gave the information that libxi6 wasn't updated.
