I've been trying to test this with the beta2 CD, but my system seems to
hardlock alot.
The first time it locked while using krandrtray to set the same resolution for
both displays. The second time I booted with the external display attached, and
switching resolutions worked. However, I got stuck at 800x600 with no way to
reach the krandrtray applet, so while trying to change my internal display back
to a resolution that allowed me to click on the applet using xrandr, my system
froze again. But just as I was happy to get here and report the crashes, my
system locked up again and I didn't even start krandrtray yet. A fourth time,
my X11 crashed doing some other stuff, but I could Ctrl-Alt-Backspace it, and
both displays were working. However, the whole box hardlocked again trying to
switch to a different resolution.

I'll need some more time testing, but I _think_ the "fails to reenable
external display" bug is gone, replaced by a "krandrtray hardlocks
system on resolution change" bug. At least I managed to hardlock the
system more often using krandtray than without it.

This is a Thinkpad R52 box with an Ati Radeon Mobility X300 card, and
booted right of the beta2 32bit iso, so no fancy mucking around with
drivers or anything done.
