upstream closed the bug using this comment
"Weird stacktrace, but XSetClipMask(gc=NULL) seems a familar bug that I've
fixed, reintroduced and then had to fix again in 1.6."
closing the ubuntu task now, you can reopen if you still get the issue
in intrepid though
