But I had a problem with my DVD burner as well. The cause was the mountpoint and a config file that was left over from the earlier version. All that it took to fix it was to delete /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-cd.rules and reboot... Well actually I moved the file to my home directory just in case I needed it... Seems this was causing the problem. It gets regenerated on reboot.
So if you're having problems this might be worth a shot... Some bugs come from changes between versions with old config files laying around.
