Hi I've been getting this error for a while in Hardy, I'm now running
Intrepid Beta and it's still there.
Basically what happens is: whenever I try and run another GL app on top
of Compiz I get a flicker over my Screenlets and AWN dock. I'm guessing
it's any GL object tho.
I first noticed it in mplayer, which I fixed by switching the VO to xv.
I thought it was an mplayer bug, but apparently not, as I'm now
developing an OpenGL media menu which does the exact same thing.
I'm using an Intel 945G Graphics chip on an Acer Aspire 5633wlmi, my
other machine is a Gentoo box with an nVidia GPU and I don't have this
issue there.
Also, this problem didn't exist until after I upgraded to Hardy, I don't
watch much video on my laptop, so I couldn't say whether it was
immediately after upgrade or later on.
