Update 2, Turns out my bios got corrupted by the ubuntu reboot, flashing the bios after reinstalling my computer to its original state (dell hidden partition with DSR, windows XP) solved the problem. I flashed the bios while still having both OS's installed but it did not work, only after deleting linux and its partions, after reinstalling windows, then flashing the bios, did things turn back to normal.
Next project, buying a computer with 100% compatible hardware for linux and installing just that.... in the mean time...XP it is ;( -- 8.10 Killed my motherboard? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/270754 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
