Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: debian-installer
When using the alternate install for Ubuntu 8.10 i386 beta daily build 10112008
I get an error that I can't get around.
The installation stops after configuring APT, and it requests the "Alpha" CD.
At least, that's in the title of the msg. I am trying to install the Beta.
Here's the controller info:
00:1f.2 IDE interface: Intel Corporation 82801GB/GR/GH (ICH7 Family)
SATA IDE Controller (rev 01)
Drive info:
SONY DVD RW AW-Q170A
Firmware: 1.70
SCSI connection
The installation CD tests with no defects, and the install is smooth up
until around 72%, when this error occurs.
** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
