Public bug reported:

I'm using my laptop (LG P1 Express Dual) with Intrepid Ibex beta.
With all Ubuntu version the loudspeakers don't work but I know how to fix it.

Create the file "/etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel"
==> sudo touch /etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel

Edit this file
==> sudo vim /etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel

And insert this line
==> options snd-hda-intel model=lg

Save and reboot the computer, now the sound works.

But with Intrepid (with all kernel, now 2.6.27-7-generic), sometimes my
laptop doesn't want to boot since I've applyed this fix. Actualy when
the progress bar appears a quick noise is produced by my loudspeakers
which means that they are enabled. But sometimes... after that the boot
freeze and I have to reboot my computer to try to boot again. Without
this fix the boot looks to work fine.
