many apologies, but i am unable to post the requested logs, the reason
being that as i mentioned i had tried for another attempt at upgrading
from hardy to intrepid, but due to this and other errors i was unable to
complete the upgrade.

i received in total 8 error messages relating to the nvidia 177.80
driver and the xserver, and the result was that the new driver was not
installed, and once the upgrade had completed the system was fine, until
restarting it, at which point the xserver (at least i think it was the
xserver) failed to load, no matter what i did, i tried running it in
recovery mode and tried to fix the problem from a shell, but no joy.

( I would just like to point out that as a rule i dont us the upgrade
option, I tend to download the rc iso and burn it to disc, the reason
being that in the 2 years or so that I have been using ubuntu/kubuntu I
have never had a fully successful upgrade from one version to the next )

I can report that I am currently running the latest kernel
(2.6.27-7-generic) with the nvidia 177.80 driver and they seem to be
working together fine, but for some reason i now cant get my bluetooth
adapter to work, which it was under the previous kernel version
(2.6.27-6-generic) so i will post another bug report if i cant get it
running.

once again apologies for the lack of logs, but as the system i have been
testing intrepid on is my main system i do need at least a half working
system, other wise id install hardy and try upgrading again so i could
post the logs.
