Hi, Here is my proposed patch to fix this issue.
The problem was that if the file was present, but didn't contain the key, the code asked for "-1" to be returned, which evaluates to TRUE, but we want something that evaluates to FALSE. This will break for anyone that once installed nm, but removed it and didn't purge, among other scenarios.
