Yeah, its an old problem that has affected LTSP since its inception on ubuntu, and is most likely related to SDL. As far as I can tell, it doesn't matter if Sound is on or off, it still brings down the network with 10 clients running it. There are also constant complaints of the exit screens hanging. I have not had a chance to compare it to other SDL driven programs, but I will run a few tests at a school....
