I'm not able to reproduce this, so could you:
* grab terminator from bzr ("bzr branch lp:terminator")
* apply the attached patch
* run with ./terminator -d
and look for the new debug messages in the debug logging, it may help us
figure out what's going on, but my reading of the code I think we are
getting bogus events from the terminal itself.
