I expected to get an IM window so I can continue my conversation.
What actually happens is, you notice a sluggishness on the mouse cursor,
you start to hear the HDD spin from the memory swapping. I run conky and
I can monitor my top 3 CPU and RAM hogs as well as percentage of ram
used. Pidgin goes to the top on both CPU usage and RAM usage. My 4 Gigs
of RAM are maxed out in a matter of seconds... slowly but surely the
computer comes to a halt. This was happening several times, and I
noticed that the common factor was me getting an IM that I did not
initiate. Oh, and the IM window never makes it to the screen.
