Public bug reported: I can't enter non-latin letters (eg. cyrillic) in any third-party Java apps. I see some strange symbols instead of cyrillic letters. But cyrillic input in Eclipse works fine.
I tested it in Zend Studio and in MagicDraw. My /etc/environment is: PATH="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/games" LANG="ru_RU.UTF-8" #LANGUAGE="ru_RU:ru:en_GB:en" LANGUAGE="ru_RU:ru" locale is: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=ru_RU:ru LC_CTYPE="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_TIME="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_COLLATE="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_MESSAGES="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_PAPER="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_NAME="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="ru_RU.UTF-8" LC_ALL= I reported this bug as dapper bug earlier: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+bug/64336 There is another problem description on Ubuntuforums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=1541506&postcount=8 ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Changed in: Ubuntu Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed -- Non-latin letters in Java apps https://launchpad.net/bugs/71350 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
