I think this might be a duplicate of bug 149832, but I'm not sure. To
help me confirm this, could you please post the output of the following
command (you can run it from a live CD) to dump the contents of your
partition table? I'm hoping you haven't modified the partition table
since you filed this bug.
sudo od -Ax -tx1 -N512 /dev/sda
