Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cups
Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) Release: 8.10 cups: Installed: 1.3.9-1 Candidate: 1.3.9-1 I've been using intrepid since alpha 3 and have had no printing issues for a while. within the last week, I'm no longer able to print to any of my printers. I've been applying updates daily. When I try to print, my cpu usage shoots up for about 10 seconds to 100% and then the document disappears from the print queue. If I try to print another document, the error "your printer may not be connected" is the status of the printer. Attached are the results from the printingbuginfo script as well as my cups print_error log file. Interpreting the print_error log file, it seems I don't have permissions to resume the printer (when plug/unplug the usb cord) ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- regression: printing no longer works in intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283059 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
