Thank you for your bug report. Please run "dbus-monitor --system" in a
terminal, then connect/disconnect AC and post the output as a text file
attachment to this bug report. Please also run "gconftool --recursive-
list /apps/gnome-power-manager > gpm.gconf.values.txt" and attach the
resulting text file to this bug report.
I think that the SetPowerSave method is a red herring. CPU frequency
scaling is controlled via the org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.CPUFreq HAL
interface (or at least I think it is).
Also, the CPUFreq code has been removed from gnome-power-manager in
Intrepid.
