Binary package hint: debian-installer
I have a shuttle SP35P_Pro, which was running Hardy Heron (albeit with
the the issue described in bug #222176). It HH installed fine, but had
to switch the SATA device to RAID to run Ubuntu and then back again when
running XP. I don’t think this particular install issue is related
though as regardless of the SATA mode this error happens.
Trying to install the Intrepid Beta, but it dies during Select and Install
Software.
Mobo Bios is the latest version and the DVD drive is a Sony DVD-RW AW-G170A IDE
(not SATA)
ISO is correct MD5 and the disc passes the error check.
Partitioning method: manual
Using existing LVM partitions (but reformatting them): /data /home /
On Select and install Software – 6% will sit there for several minutes
spinning the drive up and down Alt – F4 shows the following last 3
messages:
