hi i just installed ubuntu 8.10 beta alternate via cd. the debinstaller did not recognize my wireless card d-link g520+ (acx100), which kinda sucked, but after installation process support for atheros 802.11 wirless lan cards was flawlessly detected. so iam happy again hope i could help
