Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
In Intrepid Beta with xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu7 the
display is defaulted at 1280x1024x60hz .
The monitor is an AMW 17" flat panel and its native resolution is
1280x1024x75hz. At 60Hz the display is elongated vertically.
When I go into KDE4.1 System Settings and go into Display Settings the
correct res is immediately applied (without me clicking anything) but
this messes up the plasma panel location etc.
I've attached the Xorg.0.log which shows a maximum DDC refresh of 60hz
but xrandr reports a max of 75hz. I've also attached the output from
xrandr and a screenshot of KDE4.1 Display Settings showing the current
res when correct.
