I have experienced several crashes that can be resolved only by killing the 'compiz-real' process through ssh from another box, the mouse moves but nothing responds to keyboard or mouse clicks. These have occured when I alt-tab into or past a fullscreen application with application switcher. Also, often when I switch past a fullscreen application, the monitor quite flickers several times and the computer is unresponsive for a second. I think this is a bug with application switcher and fullscreen applications.
This is quite irritating since, as far as I know, there is not an alternative to application switcher.
