Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic
The standard 8.10 installation sets up Canaadian package server for installation. I change the software source to the Main server and many more packages become visible. However, these packages cannot be installed. Whenever I choose a package, for instance g++4.3, it reports an error from the server: W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gcc-4.3/libstdc++6-4.3-dev_4.3.2-1ubuntu8_amd64.deb 404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.46 80] W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gcc-4.3/g++-4.3_4.3.2-1ubuntu8_amd64.deb 404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.46 80] I need g++ in order to debug my applicationn written in c++.
