Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

The standard 8.10 installation sets up Canaadian package server for
installation.

I change the software source to the Main server and many more packages
become visible. However, these packages cannot be installed. Whenever
I choose a package, for instance g++4.3, it reports an error from the
server:

I need g++ in order to debug my applicationn written in c++. Why can't I load
the compiler?
