vrms uses the Section entry for a package to decide if it is non-free or not. It should detect packages with the following in their section entry as non-free: (non-free|restricted|multiverse)
nvidia-kernel-common should be detected as non-free in current versions since it's section is restricted/x11 linux-ubuntu-modules-* have the section base, and so don't get detected as being non-free. I believe a bug should be filed against these packages rather than vrms. linux-image-generic is a meta-package, and as such there is nothing inside it to be free or non-free. I don't believe this to be a problem. flashplugin-nonfree is in the section multiverse/web and so should be detected as non-free. -- vrms misses several packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209645 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
