Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gparted
During scanning all devices after creating a NTFS partition on a clean
SATA drive (Seagate Barracuda ST3500320AS) gparted freezes hard -- even
kernel magic does nothing. After a restart rerunning GParted or trying
to access any partition on the drive also causes a freeze.
Ext3 partitions on the same drive work (also created with GParted),
removing the NTFS partition using command line parted makes them
accessible again.
Logs don't seem to show anything relevant.
Tried a couple of times with different BIOS settings, msdos and gpt
labels, nothing works.
