Thanks, I was able to fix this by removing the cdrom definition for sdb1 in fstab. I do respectively disagree about this not being a bug, I believe it to be an installation related bug. The fstab was created from a fresh 8.10 beta install from cdrom, the entry for sdb1 should not have been present in fstab and was apparently placed there during the install process.
