Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) Release: 8.10
usplash:
Installed: 0.5.25
Candidate: 0.5.25
Version Table:
*** 0.5.25 0

100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Problem Description:
After the boot process and the successfull login into my latest Intrepid
"beta" release, an error message appear on the upper gnome-panel, I
clicked on it and a error window opened Titled: <<problem in usplash>>
and telling: << The crash happened in the firmware of the computer
("BIOS"), which cannot be influenced by the operating system.>>
These problems happened just after the first large system upgrade on my
latest Intrepid "beta" version of ubuntu, requested by Canonical
immediately after the CD-ROM installation (around 350 packages between
upgrades and new releases), just after the successfull download and
installation of all these packages
