I just used vlc for the first time in intrepid last night and was very pleased with the new release. The video in totem kept freezing and then being behind the audio for .mkv files, vlc did not have this problem. A good solution to this might be to have any easy method for people to downgrade in intrepid. The vlc website does not offer the old debs anymore, packages.ubuntu.com has the hardy and older packages but im not sure where you could find a deb for 0.9.2. Attempting to downgrade may also a whole host of dependencies issues.
