Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04

xserver-xorg-video-i810:
  Installed: 2:1.7.4-0ubuntu7

I rebooted my machine just now, and instead of the usual 1600x1200
resolution, my Hardy machine came up in 1280x1024. Looking at the
Xorg.0.log file, I see this:

Note that the old log file correctly detected the monitor as a Planar,
and detected the 1600x1200 resolution. The new log file says it's a
Novatek, and doesn't detect that resolution.

My last reboot before today was two days ago, to install the 2.6.24-21
kernel package that the package manager suggested, and the system came
up in 1600x1200 mode just fine. Today's reboot was to attach a UPS, but
after the boot into the wrong resolution, I tried removing the UPS, and
it still came up wrong. There may have been some hardy updates since
two days ago that I installed, but didn't reboot.

Any clues?
