For everyone still experiencing this symptom in current intrepid, please first ensure that you are not using any manually installed (i.e., in ~/.mozilla/firefox/...) Flash plugins, and second try:
sudo aptitude reinstall flashplugin-nonfree Also, please report whether the steps resolve the symptom for you.
