Applying the patch on comment 1 of bug #276072 solve the problem for me too. Here is the modification others can try : - Edit /usr/share/gnome/autostart/libcanberra-login-sound.desktop - Change the line "X-GNOME-Autostart-Phase=Desktop" to "X-GNOME-Autostart-Phase=Applications" - Save and exit
