I get the same result as Kuba Górski, hardware is Dell Inspiron 1720. Related to brightness issues: did anyone else notice the problem with the brightness applet described in bug #81339, more precisely what described in the commend I posted there (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal/+bug/81339/comments/11)?
