Public bug reported: Configuration: Ethernet network with static IPs assignment. DHCP not in use, I have to assign IP manually. I have nForce 570 chipset, dual Ethernet adapters on motherboard are built-in.
To reproduce: 1) Boot Kubuntu 8.10 x64 beta CD. 2) Try to set-up static IP via network manager (resides in tray).Create connection with proper parameters. 3) Try to force it to use created connection Result: Nothing happens. Configuration not applied to interface so no network. All my attempts to configure Ethernet network via GUI failed. I can't get networking with LiveCD through GUI-based settings. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Kubuntu 8.10 x64 beta: unable to configure static IP in ethernet network. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/285697 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
