Downloaded ubuntu live/DAILY intrepid from cdimages.ubuntu.com today on Oct18.
Installed to USB drive booted the system that has problems reading DVDs in
Hardy, Inserted blank DVD, nothing happens. I try to click on the DVD/RW drive
in Computer inside gnome and i get the same message . "Unable to mount location
- No media in drive" in Hardy I have
ls -l /dev|grep scd0
cdrom ->scd0
cdrw ->scd0
sr0 ->scd0
In Intrepid daily I have
cdrom ->scd0
cdrw ->scd0
sr0 ->scd0
dvdrw1 ->scd0
dvd1 -> scd0
So i can confirm Booting from a live USB with Intrepid daily Oct18-2008
Inserting a blank DVD-R into the drive does nothing.
Inserting a blank CD pops up a "Blank CD-R dialog" asking what to do with blank
CD.
here is my hardware.
