** Description changed:

it does not want to mount the drives now, no prompt for password to
mount them, only thing I did before rebooting is apt-get dist-upgrade
today, it was working before that , that about the only thing, intrepid

I am doing a apt-get update to see if theirs a fix for this yet?

also I think when I downloaded the kubuntu 8.10 version it was broken on
the iso image by default in kde 4.1

ok I did a reboot , and now it seems to ask for the password again? so I
am not sure what cause this problem to happen , where it would not ask
for password for mounting vista formated hard drives ntfs format drive
+
+
+ once you unmount a drive in gnome , it seems to not like to mount again,,
otherwise it will do nothing to try to mount ntfs drive, does not ask password
or nothing you have either restart the x windows system or logout of it and
login again to remount drive -- I noticed once I was able to mount drive , and
unmount drive I could not mount it again , I guess this is a bug

** Summary changed:

- mount drives broken in gnome in intrepid
+ once you unmount a drive in gnome , it seems to not like to mount again in
gnome
