1. I opened the terminal window. I tried to type the letter "x" without quotes. 
2. I expected the letter "x" (without quotes).
3. Instead, I got the "set title" box. 
4. I checked the options in Edit / Keyboard Shortcuts. What do you know? the 
letter x is set to open the "set title" box. And it cannot be changed.
