The backtrace shows that SIGABRT is signaled. I did not 'continue'
after that in that backtrace. If I do I get:

    Program terminated with signal SIGABRT, Aborted.
    The program no longer exists.

cupsd stops running, the printer gnome-applet closes,
/var/run/cups/cupsd.pid is not deleted indicating an unclean
termination.
