I tried installing the driver through: 1. Synaptic Package Manager 2. Through Restricted Hardware Driver manager (Jockey) 3. Manually using apt-get 4. Using 'Envy' I searched through the bug reports and found a similar problem (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ferchohacker/+bug/283329) which was related to improper kernel headers package. Made sure that correct kernel headers are installed and manually registered the driver w/ DKMS. It did not fix the problem. ** Description changed: Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-177 I have not been able to make the new (177.80) NVIDIA Driver to work on my system with Mythbuntu Ibex. I have made sure that I am using the right version headers and tools.
