I have tested to print from OpenOffice on two printers (HP LaserJet 3390
and HP Color LaserJet 3600) and I cannot reproduce the bug. For me it
looks like that it is a problem of a particular printer driver.
Can you tell which printer you have?
Can you also do the following:
Start system-config-printer via System -> Administration -> Printing. In
the "Help" menu of system-config-printer choose "Troubleshoot". Go
through the steps of the wizard, when it asks for printing something,
print a document from OpenOffice. When the printing finishes, say that
it did not work and then save the troubleshoot.txt file and attach it to
this bug.
Do the same steps also for KOffice.
