I am having the same problem with Hardy Heron 8.04 2.6.24-19 & -21 on a Dell Latitude D520: Fn+F2 hotkey toggles WiFi power on and off, as expected, but the WiFi indicator LED is always dark. The Network Manager systray indicator gives a good idea of what is going on with the WiFi connection, so this isn't a big problem for me, but it could be a major inconvenience in troubleshooting connection difficulties.
The WiFi indicator LED works fine in Win XP - flickers as WiFi connection is made, lights solid once connected, and dark when radio power is off. Bluetooth power is also controlled by the Fn+F2 hotkey, and both hotkey control of Bluetooth power and the Bluetooth indicator LED work correctly under both Ubuntu and Win XP. -- wifi power indicator doesn't display states https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155219 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
