hi chris,
Every time I opened the program, it was doing this.
I have since upgraded my system to Hardy Heron and so I cannot check what was
happening any more.
thank you for following up. The software is awesome and probably will end up
being the biggest nail in the Microsoft coffin of all.
Regards,
Tim Day

If you tell it to not try to recover does it continue to ask when you
start the next time?
It may be that you are telling it to try to recover which causes it to
crash again?

Status in “openoffice.org” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and running Open Office version 2.3.0
After a system shutdown with program open with a .xls file attached to an
email, every time Open Office is opened it tries to recover the file and fails.
The email is still there unchanged attached to the email. I can understand
trying to recover the file once but not every time the program starts.
