sorry about my lack of info, i don't really know too much about the wat
u asked, i know this much, i always used a headphones that were
connected thru a USB port, however when i used headphones dat were
connected directly to the headphone jacks it did work. So i guess i'll
just switch to a regular stereo jack. On another note, is there a
universal program i can download, that would open all programs, i just
downloaded something and it ends in rsd:1, as opposed to wmv or flv or
mpeg. So i'm trying to open it, can't seem to.

whenever i go to a website like youtube and i play music or some form of media, 
i don't hear anything, until i download it and i use the movie player to play 
it. only then do actually hear sounds
