I've been havin problems when seeing a video. I tried with kaffeine but the
video screen was a green noise, and the system become slow at the point that
the computer stops receiving orders for a second or two and pauses about half
of a second. Next tried with Mplayer and then Kmplayer, and have the same
result. I've seen symilar problems with Envidia Graphics cards, but I don't
have one.
Recentrly I've installed Google Earth package and the screen doesn't show
correctly, meaning full of the space. Some space are noise (especificaly the
upgraded space at the bottom) and some places turns black on the pages. At some
point the system stops responding. I enclose a 'lshw' hardware list.
I'm currentrly run Kubuntu 8.04.1 with kde 3
Kernel 2.6.24-21-generic
All updates and upgrades to the moment and still.
