OK, maybe we are beeing affected by the same bug. With splash screen on or off (both show me the loading progress) boot stops on ntp-server and shows "mountntfs[eth0]: waiting for interface wlan0 before doing nfs mountpoints".
It's an Asus A8N-SLI and everything works OK with linux- image-2.6.26-1-rt (I don't work with MIDI files, by the way) and I don't have any wireless interface (at least my bluetooth usb dongle can't be considered as wi-fi). And no nfs mountpoints in /etc/fstab Keyboard doesn't stop working, but if you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del computer doesn't reboot, only show it's going to reboot (killing process blah- blah-blah...). Needed do Alt+SysRq+S Alt+SysRq+U Alt+SysRq+B to get the control back. Either /var/log/messages or /var/log/kern.log don't show anything about this. -- linux-image-2.6.27-3-rt cannot initialize system to boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
