Okay, trying a newer version seems to have made the segfault go away for
me. (although I haven't exhaustively tested my real-life workloads yet)

So I guess if my version is not supported any more, then that will have
to do and thanks very much for your help everyone.

However, can any of the ubuntu folks give a comment, as this bug is a
crasher without a workaround in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.  So I would hope the
package would get upgraded, or the fix backported or something?

bzr people - If this bug is ubuntu specific or you don't support this
version, we can remove bzr and bzr-svn projects from this bug if you
wish?
