Here is the console-output after I reinstalled the printer with the
first driver I had in my original posting:
** (gnome-cups-add:9689): WARNING **: Two ppds have driver == 'cdj550'
->foomatic:HP-DeskJet_932C-cdj550.ppd (HP DeskJet 932C
Foomatic/cdj550[0]) and
->foomatic:HP-DeskJet_932C-cdj550.ppd (HP DeskJet 932C
Foomatic/cdj550)[0]
Selected ppd file = foomatic:HP-LaserJet_4_Plus-Postscript.ppd
With this driver the duplex-button in cups is active, but no option for
duplex (off - <ingore> - longe edge - short edge) prevents duplex
printing.
Again: From the label on the printer it is a "HP LaserJet 4M plus", and
printing with a simple text-editor gedit gives simplex-printing when
duplex is turned off. So I suspect some problem between oo.o2 writer and
the printer-driver.
