Public bug reported: Choosing to shutdown the computer and end the gnome session with open applications, which don't support session saving, causes data loss, as there is no option to cancel the action and save the open files. The appearing dialog says to close the applications manually, but it already runs in foreground as the only active applications. There is also only the 'close' button, which continues the shutdown process.
There needs to be a cancel option. ** Affects: gnome-desktop (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- no cancel option on shutdown with open applications https://launchpad.net/bugs/71892 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
